천하창생의 죄를 대속代贖하심 [도전11:83]
1 아흐렛날 태모님께서 고찬홍, 전준엽 등 여러 성도들에게 일러 말씀하시기를
2 “세상 사람이 죄 없는 자가 없어 모두 제 죄에 제가 죽게 되었으니 내가
이제 천하 사람의 죄를 대신하여 건지리라.” 하시고
3 청수 한 그릇을 떠 놓고 그 앞에 바둑판을 놓으신 뒤에 담뱃대로 바둑판을 치시며 성도들에게 명하시어 태을주를 읽게 하시더니
4 태모님께서 문득 정신을 잃고 쓰러지시니라.
5 한나절 동안이나 기절하셨다가 깨어나서 성도들에게 말씀하시기를 “밖에 나가 하늘을 보라.” 하시므로
6 모두 나가 보니 한 자 너비나 되는 검은 구름이 하늘 남쪽으로부터 북쪽까지 길게 뻗쳤더라.
Atoning for Humanity’s Sins *DOJEON 11:69
1 On March 9, Taemonim announced to Go Chan-hong, Jeon Jun-yeop, and several other disciples,
2“There is no one in this world who has not sinned, and all would surely perish for their sins, but I shall atone for their sins and deliver them.”
3 Taemonim arranged a &baduk& board in front of a bowl of &cheongsu&, then had the disciples chant the Taeeulju Mantra while She struck the board with Her long pipe.
4 Suddenly, Taemonim collapsed to the floor, and She did not regain consciousness until half a day later.
5 When Taemonim awoke, She commanded, “Go outside and behold the sky.” 6 The disciples obeyed and beheld a long dark streak of clouds stretching across the sky from south to north.

예) 전 인류가 진멸지경에 이르다. All of humanity is at the brink of annihilation.
속죄贖罪하다 atone (for); expiate; make atonement for
그는 아들에게 한 일을 속죄했다고 생각했다.
He felt he had atoned for what he had done to his son.
대속代贖하다 redeem; atone for
세상에 있는 모든 병을 다 대속하였으나 오직 괴병은 그대로 남겨두고 너희들에게 의통(醫統)을 전하리라. (상제님)
I have suffered all diseases on humanity's behalf, save for the mysterious disease, for which I grant you uitong.
(죄를) 씻다 purge; cleanse; get ride of; clean out
예) 내가 그 죄를 대신하여 받아 없애리라. (태모님)
I shall now suffer for everyone's sins to purge them.
