A Mysterious Disease Will Strike the World 

바둑도 한 수만 높으면 이기나니, 남모르는 공부를 하여 두라.

“Being superior by a single move brings victory in the game of baduk, so devote yourself to the practice that is unknown to others. 

선천개벽 이후로 홍수와 가뭄과 전쟁의 겁 재( 劫災 )가 서로 번갈아서 그칠 새 없이 세상 을 진탕하였으나 아직 병겁은 크게 없었나 니 이 뒤에는 병겁이 전세계를 엄습하여 인류를 전멸케 하되 살아날 방법을 얻어 내지 못할 것이라.

“Since the Early Heaven Gaebyeok, floods, droughts, and wars have ceaselessly ravaged the world, but there has yet to be a truly catastrophic disease. Such a disease will strike the entire world in the coming times and annihilate the human race, allowing no means of survival;  

그러므로 모든 기사묘법( 奇事妙法 )을 다 버 리고 오직 비열한 듯한 의통( 醫統 )을 알아 두라.

therefore, abandon the world’s extraordinary achievements and wondrous ways and instead devote yourself to understanding Uitong , though it may seem insignificant.

내가 천지공사를 맡아봄으로부터 이 땅위 에 있는 모든 큰 겁재를 물리쳤으나 오직 병 겁만은 그대로 두고 너희들에게 의통을 붙 여 주리라. 멀리 있는 진귀한 약품을 귀중히 여기지 말고 순전한 마음으로 의통을 알아 두라. 몸 돌이킬 겨를이 없고 홍수 밀리듯 하 리라. (도전 7:33)

“Since undertaking the Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth, I have defeated all the colossal catastrophes looming over this land, but I have left intact the catastrophic disease, for which I shall grant you Uitong . Do not prize rare and precious medicines found afar; instead, devote yourself to understanding Uitong with a pure heart. The disease will surge like a flood, allowing you not even a moment to turn your body.”
