포교의 도 ( 道 ), 육임조직의 연맥 도수

The Dao of Spreading the Teachings, the Dosu of the Succession of the Vanguards of Six 

나를 믿는 자는 매인( 每人 )이 6인씩 전하 라. 포교의 도( 道 )가 먼저 육임( 六任 )을 정하 고 차례로 전하여 천하에 미치게 되나니 이 것이 연맥( 連脈 )이니라.

“All who believe in me will convey my teachings to six people. The dao of spreading the teachings is to first form a team of six, and then each team member conveys the teachings to form another team of six, until eventually all the world is thus encompassed. This is the succession of conveying my teachings.” 

육임 조직의 천명을 내리심

A Heavenly Mandate to Form Teams of Six 

하루는 류찬명( 柳贊明 )과 김자현( 金自賢 )에 게 이르시기를 “각기 10만명에게 포교하 라.” 하시니 찬명은 대답하고 자현은 대답지 않거늘 재촉하시어 대답을 받으신 뒤에 말 씀하시기를

One day, Sangjenim said to Ryu Chan-myeong and Gim Ja-hyeon, “You should each convey my teachings to one hundred thousand people.” Chan-myeong pledged to do so, but Ja-hyeon remained silent. Sangjenim pressed Ja-hyeon for a response, and finally he also pledged to do so. Sangjenim then proclaimed, “It is I who bring order to the world, and it is you who will govern it. Governing the world will require a fifty-year practice.” 

“평천하( 平天下 )는 내가 하리니 치천하( 治 天下 )는 너희들이 하라. 치천하 50년 공부니라.” 하시니라.

태을주로 천명을 이룬다

Fulfilling the Heavenly Mandate Through the Taeeulju Mantra 

하루는 상제님께서 말씀하시기를 “천하 생명을 태을주( 太乙呪 )로 살린다. 태을주로 천명( 天命 )을 이루느니라.” 하시니라. (도전 8:101)

One day, Sangjenim declared, “The world’s people will be delivered by the Taeeulju Mantra. It is through the Taeeulju Mantra that the heavenly mandate will be fulfilled.” (Dojeon 8:70)
