인류 시원(고대) 영성문화의 증거 This evidence of humanity's original spiritual cult…

저는 동방의 한국에서 왔습니다. 대개 한국을 ‘중국 황하문명의 아류’로 알고 있습니 다. 고대 중국과 일본의 식민지로 있다가 최근에 놀라운 경제발전을 이룬 신흥국가 정도로 알고 있습니다. 실상은 그렇지 않습니다. 이런 고정관념을 깨주는 고대 동방 영성문화의 발굴 사진 몇 장을 함께 보겠습니다.

I am from the Eastern land of Korea. Most think of Korean culture as a subtype to the Chinese Yellow River civilization, that Koreans are a newly emerging people that used to be merely colonized by ancient China and Japan but have recently showed astonishing economic growth and development. This isn’t actually the case. I'd like to show you two pictures from Eastern culture excavation sites that will do away with such stereotypes.

이것은 수행하는 남신상과 앉아 수행하는 모습을 한 여신상입니다. 남자는 뭔가를 Chanting하고 있습니다. 이것은 인류 역사 상 가장 오래된 수행하는 모습이 발굴된 것 입니다. 고대 중국의 담장인 만리장성 밖 즉, 옛 한국 땅에서 인류 시원(고대) 영성문화의 증거가 나온 것입니다.

This is a pottery figure of a meditating man and a clay sculpture of a goddess sitting in meditation. The man is chanting something. These artificats represent excavation of the oldest figures performing meditation in all human history. This evidence of humanity's original spiritual culture was found outside the Great Wall of China, the land of Ancient Korea.

좀 더 충격적인 발굴현장의 모습을 더 보 겠습니다. 5500년 전 소위 홍산문화의 이 유적은 무엇을 보여주고 있나요?

Now, let's take a look at something more surprising from that excavation site. What do these remains from the Hongshan civilization of 5,500 years ago reveal?

150미터 길이의 유적에서 사각형의 큰 돌 무덤과 둥근 모습을 한 제단이 한 곳에서 발굴되었습니다. 이 유적은 천원지방(하늘은 둥글고 땅은 방정하다) 사상을 나타내고 있습니다. 천원지방은 동방 문화의 원형정신 입니다.

In the remains of a 150-meter-long structure, a square-shaped stone burial mound and a circular heavenly sacrificial altar were found next to one another. This shows the famous original concept of Eastern culture, that "heaven is round, and earth is square."  

동양문화에서는 하늘을 아버지, 땅을 어머 니로 섬깁니다. 이 천지 부모사상은 동방문화 의 원형정신이요 첫 번째 근본정신입니다. 일찍이 중국의 학자들은 약 2천 년 전에 이 것을 동이(중국이 부른 동방 고대 한국의 별 칭) 문화라고 하였습니다. (후한 말기 채옹 ( 蔡邕 ,132~192)의 독단 獨斷 - 天子 는 夷狄之 所稱 이니 父天母地 故 로 稱天子 니라)

This signifies the idea that heaven and earth are the parents, with heaven as the father and earth as the mother. This is the first basic representation of Eastern culture. At one point, Chinese scholars thought this to be the culture of dongyi (dongyi is the Chinese name for ancient Koreans. Cai Yong, a scholar of the Later Han period who lived from 132 to 192 CE wrote in the Duduan ("On Ceremonial Rites"). "Cheonja" is a title used by the dongyi. It is "son of heaven and earth" because heaven is the father and earth is the mother. (to be continued)
