B: Yes, of course. Since ancient times, there was enlightenment into the principles of the stars in heaven and enlightenment into the principles of earth, but there has never been enlightenment into humanity’s right path.

A: You’re saying nobody achieved the highest enlightenment in the entire human history?
B: Only one person did. On July 7, 1901, Jeung-san Sangjenim attains the ultimate enlightenment in the Seven Stars Shrine at Daewonsa Temple and opened heaven and earth’s great gate of the spirit realm. This is the enlightenment into humanity’s right path and Jeung-san Sangjenim is the first who attained this enlightenment.

A: 도통에는 여러 가지 종류가 있나요?
B: 네, 물론이죠. 예로부터 천문의 이치와 지리에 대한 도통은 있었지만 인간의 올바른 길에 대한 도통(중통인의)은 없었어요.


A: 인류의 전 역사에서 가장 큰 도통을 한 이가 아무도 없었다는 말씀인가요?
B: 단 한 분뿐이었어요. 증산 상제님께서 1901년 7월 7일 대원사 칠성각에서 궁극의 대도통을 하시고 천지대신문을 여셨습니다. 이것이 중통인의이며, 중통인의를 이루신 최초의 인간이 증산 상제님이십니다.

B: Enlightening into humanity’s right path entails a capacity to wield the power of creation-transformation to correct the wrongs of humanity’s history and to substantialize the cosmic autumn’s magnificent new civilization.

A: 인간에 대한 도통이 어째서 하늘이나 땅에 대한 도통보다 더 크지?
B: 인간은 하늘땅의 자녀이기 때문이지. 인간은 하늘땅의 중심에 있어서 천지부모의 뜻을 성취하는 운명적인 길로 인도되거든.

A: 우와. 대단한데! 그런 생각은 한 번도 안 해 봤어. 지금 그 말은 정말 놀랍다.
