시두 신명이 찾아오고 요란한 북소리가 들려 (한/영)

대학생 수련회 전날 밤 정성수행 중 체험한 사례입니다. 혼자서 태을주를 읽고 있는데 사람과 같은 흐릿한 형태가 보였습니다. 그 모습이 점점 가까이 다가와서 보니 얼굴에 가면을 쓴 사람이었습니다. 그 가면에 시두 자국이 있었습니다. 머리에는 이집트 파라오들이 쓰는 모자와 비슷한 것을 쓰고 손에는 지팡이를 하나 들고 있었는데 느낌이 너무 오싹했습니다. 병원에서 항암치료를 받았을 때 말고는 그런 느낌은 처음이라 너무 무서워서 태을주를 빨리 읽었고 오주로 넘어가니 더 이상 보이지 않았습니다.

더불어 수련회 집중 도공 시의 체험 사례입니다. 도공을 하면서 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울의 경치가 차례대로 시계방향으로 돌면서 보이는데 북소리가 커졌습니다. 그 소리는 제가 배 위에서 북을 치는 소리였습니다. 조금 있다가 바다 위에 여러 나라 전함 수백 척이 사방에 보였습니다. 미국, 일본, 중국, 러시아 국기가 보이고 바다가 온통 북소리로 요란해졌습니다. 꼭 전쟁 시작을 알리는 신호같이 느껴졌습니다. ◎
 

I heard a loud drum sound when the spirit of smallpox arrived

I had this spiritual experience the day before a college retreat. I was chanting the Taeeulju Mantra alone when I saw the blurred image of a person. As they came closer, I found out that it was a man wearing a pockmarked mask. He was wearing a headdress akin to those of the Pharaohs of Egypt and was also carrying a cane. Suddenly, the shivers ran through my whole body. I had never been so scared save for when I went through chemotherapy. As I chanted the Taeeulju and Oju mantras at a fast pace, he got out of my sight.

I’ve had another such experience. While practicing dynamic meditation, I saw scenery of the four seasons in a clockwise direction. Then, I heard the sound of a drum beat, which got louder and louder. Surprisingly, it was me who was making the drum sound, beating the a drum on a big ship. A little later, I saw many battleships from many countries in every direction. I saw the flags of the United States, Japan, China and Russia. Soon, the ocean was filled with drum sounds from each and every battleship. It sounded like a signal for war.
